Fighting Style: In the past, Nathan had adopted a strategy of careless combat with the thought that he could heal himself in the future. After a process of trail and error, Nathan had realized that he should instead go with a careful strategy of precision and distance, choosing to stay back and dash in for a strike. Parrying also figures heavily into combat.
Ability: Auto-Life. Nathan's devotion to the light, despite his choice to follow the sword rather than the path of the paladin, has given him the ability to revive upon death. Sometimes. It isn't reliable, but hell, it beats nothing.
Affinity: Holy
Elements: Holy
History: Nathan also comes from the world of the Waking Shadow, but is less candid about it than Dedrun is. He claims that in that world he was a junior warden, serving in the premier penitentiary of the kingdom. Dutifully he practiced his swordplay and combat, so as to defend himself from the mindless convicts that would attempt to off him. Unfortunately for Nathan, he would never get that chance.
Dedrun's dabbling in the dark arts brought the kingdom to ruin, shattering it into nothingness. In the battles leading up to the final destruction of the universe, many people were slain. The prisons were smashed open, releasing the prisoners, and killing the Chief Warden, leaving the duties to young Nathan. Nathan took up his master's sword, Lightbringer, and charged Dedrun's place of residence in the royal palace.
But he was too late. As he ascended the steps, he heard a tearing, almost silken. The feeling that he was drunk (Which is terrible. Just ask a glass of water.) pervaded him, and he blacked out. There is no telling how much time passed in the period where he was unconscious, but his once smooth face was now covered in stubble when he woke up upon the Destiny Islands, lost in a new world.
