Chaotic; powerful; skilled: Often, it seems like Roxas is fueled in battle by nothing more than instinct, and reaction. While this can at times be true, it can simply be said that he is more aggressive than Sora. While both times he found himself in possession of a Keyblade he had to learn to wield the weapon from scratch, due to DiZ's meddling, he quickly became proficient enough to battle his way through Saix during his escape, and managed to defeat his once-friend Axel before rejoining Sora. In battle, he utilizes the element of Light to create energy-based weapons and barriers, when not relying on one of his Keyblade's numerous forms, or more usual elemental magics.

Feeling - Gain 20% max HP per post when around Sora, Kairi, Xion or Axel. Sacrifice 10% max MP per post to upkeep.

The 'Energy' element is a further expanded form of the 'Light' affinity, usable by Roxas. It does not carry any status effects related to it such as blinding or burning, and simply causes damage.

History:
The life of a Nobody is never simple.

One would think that when you exist as a being without emotion, everything would make sense; either that, or if something didn't make sense, the lack of emotion would make it seem trivial and unimportant. The Nobodies of the Organization XIII seemed to realize this, some to a much higher degree than others.

One of those who knew that life wasn't as simple as it should have been was the thirteenth and supposed final member of the XIII; Roxas, Number XIII, the Key of Destiny.

Even from the day of his creation, things had been less than normal, when compared to a typical Nobody; when Sora spent time as a Nobody, both his strong heart, and the heart of the young Keyblade Warrior Ventus, which had been residing within Sora, created the Nobody who would later be dubbed Roxas. Because of the heart of Ventus, Roxas was recreated in his image, and because Sora was only a Heartless for a short period of time, Roxas didn't inherit any of Sora's memories.

He had entered the world as a mere shell, not knowing anything of his past. Certainly a curse when viewed in one light...however, it was also a gift. While Roxas could not draw upon Sora's memories, he had gained one valuable ability: a capacity for emotions. This set him apart from the other members, who could seemingly only pretend to have emotion, although Axel in particular did seem to have his own feelings on certain matters.

The other main difference between Roxas and all but one member of the Organization was perhaps the most important...Only he and Xion were able to wield the Keyblade, which made the XIII's goal of completing Kingdom Hearts that much easier, when hearts could be gathered by one on their own side, rather than an enemy like Sora.

His time in the Organization was hectic at times, peaceful at others. Roxas was first guided by Axel, although he interacted with the other members when required. The two formed a bond, almost like one shared by brothers, as Roxas learned to wield his keyblade, and go about missions. When Axel was suddenly sent to Castle Oblivion, Roxas was forced to step into his mentor's shoes and in turn guide a new member much as he had been guided; Xion, a fellow Keyblader. Sadly, upon forming a friendship with the mysterious woman, he was cast into a coma, which held him captive for a month; this marked the beginning of Namine's work on Sora's memories.

While his eventual waking reunited the young Keyblader with his friends Xion and Axel, the damage done to his mind due to Namine's tampering had taken its toll; filled with questions and doubt, he began to question the purpose of the Organization, and why he was capable of wielding the Keyblade; this was in turn made worse by the fact that the higher-ups withing the XIII had begun to see him as damaged goods since a doll like Xion was much more suited towards their tasks.

Upon learning the truth about Xion, Roxas finds his world turned upside down; after all, his two best friends had hidden the truth from him, which seemed like a true betrayal. He resolved to leave the Organization, and battled his way free of Castle Oblivion, even defeating the mighty Saix in the process. However, casting aside his alliance did not actually change the situation any; Xion confronted him, aiming to absorb him and become the 'true' Sora. After a long battle, Roxas destroyed his friend, actually being forced to hold her in his arms as she died. Fueled by a mixture of rage and sorrow at her death, and the knowledge of how twisted the Organization truly was, Roxas set out alone, aiming to defeat Xemnas and set Kingdom Hearts free, seeking to be reunited with her even as his memories of Xion were stripped away.

It was a task doomed to failure, as even he seemed to know; Axel tried to talk the Keyblader out of the task, although he seemed unwilling to force his friend to change his path; the flame-wielder could merely sit back while his friend marched towards his death. Maybe it was death that Roxas was truly seeking; maybe he simply wanted an end to all of the suffering. Either way, the events that happened next brought a momentary peace.

Plagued by a swarm of Neoshadow and Riku himself, Roxas battled on, even as his memories of Xion continued to fade; at this point, he could barely remember her name, and that he desperately wanted her back. When Roxas and Riku clashed, the blond warrior had the upper hand by a clear range, until Riku unleashed the darkness within his heart and struck the younger Keyblader down. As he faded into unconsciousness, his final memories of Xion faded into nothingness.

Cast into a digital version of Twilight Town, and again having his mind tampered with by Namine, Roxas was forced to start anew; living out his days with false memories of false friends and a false home. At first, he was happy, as one would be, if they didn't know that their life was a lie. Again, however, his connection with Sora ruined his view of the world; much like how his belief in the Organization had faded, he slowly slipped free of the illusion he had been cast into, once more wielding the keyblade, and making his way towards where Sora was sleeping, while Namine tampered on their collective memories.

Again, a friend stood in his way; this time it was Axel, who didn't want to lose his friend. Not remembering their past together, and viewing the Flurry of Dancing Flames as an enemy, Roxas pushed his abilities towards the level they had been at during his battle with Riku, again wielding both his own Keyblade, and that of the forgotten Xion. Upon fighting his way past his old yet forgotten friend, Roxas was returned to Sora, ending his imprint upon the world, save for the rare moments when his own being called out to Axel, Namine, or Sora.

This was the end of Roxas...or, or should have been. Due to the tampering of Kai and Ren Hitaro, the entire Organization had been freed from the Sands of Time, roughly three hundred years after the Keyblader had been returned to Sora. Again finding himself with broken memories and emotions, Roxas decided to remain with the Organization; he was compelled to find the one his heart and memories called Sora, and it seemed like the easiest way.
