NORA vs Guardian Corps [closed]

She stood in the place that best resembled where the sandlot used to be. The wind whipping down from above the rubble at her face and thrashing her hair out in the wild and untamed self that it was. The strawberry-blond girl smiled and tilted her head upwards to face the sun, right hand resting on the handle to her sword. The sheathe glowed a brief flash of cerulean with the lightning element of the blade causing it. Still, "Lightning" Levis stood waiting for something. Anything. It was too boring at the moment for her to be happy, and there were no heartless or nobodies anywhere nearby.

She twitched. And cringed. And glared.

Niveus was still alive? The former soldier didn't know exactly how that was even remotely close to being plausible, but it was! He was still alive. The person who founded the NORA Organization, which never directly opposed Guardian Corps [though they did do the same thing indirectly], that still caused the Guardian Corps a hell of a lot of stress. The Bodhum Security Regiment never found Niveus, even though it was widely known that NORA made their base there as well. It was then that Levis noticed the strange mark on his left arm and, therefore, it was then that she figured it out. He, too, must have been turned to crystal when the war was still in its early stages, causing him and her to live through the war, probably both coming conscious around the same time. But Niveus? He was the founded of NORA and probably the only person alive now who knew of the Guardian Corps.

"Why are you here, Niveus?" she said, her hand tightening a bit around the grip of her sword. The two people in the former sandlot of Twilight Town were the only remaining living beings that had any recollection of the underground groups that they both were a part of: The Guardian Corps, which protected people without revealing their identity, and NORA, which protect people without revealing they were anywhere close. In fact, she had been the first member of the Guardian Corps to learn of NORA, and was also the first person to meet Niveus; she began wondering if he, too, remembered that she was the reason he knew of the Guardian Corps.

"Glad, eh?" She gave a smile and closed her eyes for a moment. The Guardian Corps did do things a bit irregularly at times, but they were never a bad organization. NORA was a petty anarchist group that didn't want obligations, rules or authority. Guardian Corps constantly tried to keep them down and make it so they didn't cause too much mayhem and chaos. Levis opened her eyes and watched him for a long and yet brief while, speaking again. "I suppose the same could be said for your NORA. There are people who are missed, no doubt, but the organization as its self was... nothing more than your typical anarchist." The smile faded away as she drew her sword. It wasn't that she planned to kill this man, just that she didn't think she could trust him as well as she should. "If you're going to attack, then just do it. You could call it 'settling things between the groups.'" To be honest, she didn't want to fight Niveus; but, she wasn't sure if he thought the same way or not.

It was true, somewhat. Things between Guardian Corps and NORA were long in the past, and the two groups are all but forgotten with these two people being the last to remain. Still, she was curious if Niveus had gotten any stronger, since they're first and last encounter had ended in Levis killing all the heartless. As the brute took his stance and shifted it just a bit, the elegant female did the same, slashing her sword downward and ready to strike if he should come near, swinging the blade in a circle when it hit the bottom of the first swing. Staring at him behind her icy eyes her expression became emotionless and she waited. "Come on, Snow." She still had respect for him, if only a very small bit of it. He preferred to be called by his codename as she preferred to be called by hers, and since he had called her Lightning, she would continue to call him Snow unless he blurted the real name. She doubted he would. Then again, she doubted he even knew it in the first place.

Levis didn't really want to fight him, but he wasn't leaving her much leeway. All she was doing was making sure she'd be ready in case he tried to attack, but it was his fault that they were going to actually fight. He couldn't pin this on her; she was doing nothing but taking precautions. So she stood where she was, spinning the blade in a wide circle every once in a while, smiling. She didn't know why she was smiling, it just felt right to do so - to get revenge on the member of NORA who caused her the most pain, their leader. Still, she didn't want to kill him; that wasn't very hero-like. She watched his footing for his movements, knowing that it was easier to counter the counter than to counter the initial strike, thus she watched until he went round full circle and then leaped at him, slashing her sword downward.

The former soldier saw something of this caliber to be expected, thus she let go of her sword and spun her body to the right, dodging his blow. Within a nanosecond, her right arm was thrust upward for the platinum blond's jaw, uppercutting him to get him to let go of the sword. Her left hand had reached over and took hold of the handle to her sword, ready to take hold of it for when he let go after stumbling backwards, which she honestly believed he would do on account of her point-eighty-three second reaction time, not believing he could dodge it this close even if he wanted to.

It seemed as though Niveus was trying more to protect her hand than his own chin, which was extremely awkward considering the circumstances: the gloves on Levis' hands had metal plates on the part that would receive and deliver the majority of the impact. Still, the plan had worked for the most part, and her sword was released from his grip. In a turn of the tide though, he grabbed her and threw her towards the building which he had entered the area they were in. Her sword in hand, she shifted it to the right arm and thrust it downward, spinning around it and kicking up an enormous amount of sand as she stopped herself from continuing her path towards the building, looking back up at him. Standing up, she unstuck her sword from the ground and waited before taking her battle stance again. This time, however, she looked around to see if there was anything she could use around her, before noticing the one thing that she could. Smiling, she jumped at Niveus again, flipping over her head and aiming a kick at his back, hoping he'd think it was for his head and duck so she could get some leverage.

Even though her initial plan had failed, she still ended up jumping from her landing position, pursuing the top of a small wall. Stopping herself by getting up there, she turned around and smiled at Niveus, falling forward - which was away from him - she stabbed the sword into the wall and pulled it out, holding onto the wall where she had stabbed her sword in. Dropping down, she landed and jumped back, stopping herself and running around the place where they were. She came to the building that he had entered the area from, and jumped over it, coming from above silently. Landing, the soldier immediately spun her body around to attack Niveus.

The former soldier was admittedly impressed with the platinum blond's judgment of where she was and how close - either it was his knowledge of her skill, which she seriously doubted, or it was that he was starting to think logically. Her blitz-like attack only struck his enchanted gloves, but as soon as the metal clanked and sparked against his gloves, Levis knew what had happened. She pushed harder with the blade, knocking him back further - if only a little bit - and ready to strike again. The sword's edge rode along his gloves until the tip left, upon which she slammed it to the ground and used the pressure from it to flip herself over him, upon which she spun her body to have the sword attack his back once more, though this time she was reacting faster. This would be over soon enough.

The golden glow around the female was sustained as she watched his movements. He wanted all she had? He wanted to see all she could put out? She'd give it. Crouching down momentarily, panting slightly and breathing sort of heavily, she jumped backwards and flipped as she landed a farther ways away from him, flicking her blade at him. Smiling, her eyes began to glow a passionate yellow sparking with electricity as she rode her hand over the flat edge of the blade, causing it to shatter. Spinning the hilt in her hand, she threw it up and jumped after it, spinning as she kicked it higher. Flying into the skies, it finished shattering and the sparks from it descended upon her. The former soldier smiled again at him as she grabbed a single shard, all of them spinning and covering her hand. Slashing her arm, a new weapon appeared in it, her glancing over it. Nodding to herself, as this was only the second time she had ever done it, she watched the movements of her rival. The former soldier and the brute circled each other before Lightning decided it was her time to make the first strike.

"If you beat me..." she began, stopping, "I'll tell you the name behind the code name." she smiled at him, and then without waiting for a response used the remained of her speed to begin running as fast as she could around Niveus, making it so that he couldn't see exactly where she was. her legs started hurting, stomach started cramping and her blood flow was getting screwed up. Levis stopped in the middle of a turn on his left side and ran at him, slashing once and continuing along her path to run around him. It was sort of like how Snow Wolfram and her took down the giant snake-like nobody, but this was much more effective. A smile came upon her face, as there was one very easy way to stop this - all he had to do was cause enough of a pressure in the ground to jut out a spike and disrupt her run, but in doing so his final attack would not directly hit her and thus, it would be over with her coup de grâce.

The female skid to a stop as the golden glow faded away, her sighing. This wasn't what she wanted. She wanted a challenge - or, maybe this was his surrender. Still, he hadn't used that skill of his and the fact that he still could didn't please her too much. Looking at him, she shook her head and turned around to walk off, letting him be. After three steps she stopped, turning slightly to look at him and mouthed something before speaking. "I'm so sorry, Niveus..." she walked off without hesitation, eyes misting over as tears came to them. Don't cry! she thought to herself as she walked. They began to overflow the eyes. Don't you cry! she commanded them. The tears obeyed. Flipping the sword, she sheathed it in the sheathe that seemed almost as though it was too small for a blade of its caliber, though things never seemed to make sense, such as how she'd used the blade to begin with. Turning around when she got to the edge of the town, the former soldier walked into the forest and left the ruined blast zone embed in eternal petrification of twilight.
