Through the Rubble [Levis]

As they walked through the mansion and came across the papers of the crystal project, Levis' eyes shot open. She began to look through them more deeply, trying to find something specific. She seemed almost hypnotized by them as she heard Snow's voice and crashed back into reality with a bang. Turning to face him, it took a moment to process what he had said, but she was able to nod to it to agree. The former soldier turned back to her folders until she came across a specific one with the word lightning on it. Muttering to herself, she scanned each line of the papers in the folder very carefully, as if she knew what she was looking for. After she found it, the female decided to take the paper out of the folder and fold it carefully, placing it in her pocket. Afterward, she gathered up all the rest of the papers and cut them in half, making it so no one else could see the details of project crystal. Sighing, Lightning turned back around to him and nodded, making it seem as though she was ready for him to continue taking point. She began to seem distant and not really there, focusing more on what was on that piece of paper than what her mission was; which, in this case, she wasn't even sure about. Pointing up to the top of the stairs on their right, she pointed out where she wanted to go.

Snow could only watch in confusion as Lightning went through the files that didn't seem relivent to him, apparently it did to her. She didn't seem all there anymore but she nodded to him giving him the okay to continue. Snow was about to question her...but decided he could trust her with her own issues. Snow turned around and walked out the room with the girl. She pointed up the stairs that was to his right. He nodded and walked up the creeky yet unusaully stable. As they went up Snow noticed there was nothing special about the rooms on this floor, he opened every door and there was nothing in them but a lonely feeling of abandonment. There was one more room at the end of the hall that seemed different, there was light coming out of the bottom of the door. Snow reached for the doorknob and opened the door slowly. The room was white and there were pages scattered on the ground and long table, all the pages were blank. The pages on the wall had faint clues of pictures...but time seemed to have caught up with them. Snow picked up a piece of paper that had a note on it: In the library... Comput-...Baseme-...Di-...An-..Wise...Everything...Sleep. The words of the note had faded but Snow could get the gist of what the writer wrote. "Looks like there's something in the basement worth checking out. Maybe we should-...You okay?" Snow replied putting the note down on the table as he could see that Lightning was distant.

"Hm?" she said, snapping back into reality to look at him. Blinking, she realized he was talking to her and asking if she was okay. It took a second to register what had literally just happened: that wasn't good. "Oh.. yeah, I'm fine." the female walked through the mansion towards the door on the other side, coming across a table. Looking at it slowly, she inspected it, knowing there was a way to get past it - she had before. but, this time she didn't have the shape to draw. They had to get under it, so she did the only thing she could think of. Reaching up and grabbing the ceiling, she pulled herself up and slammed down on the ground, forcing the 'door' to the basement to be shown. Landing and brushing herself off, she called to Snow, whistling for him to take point once more.

Snow grinned as he passed the woman, he rolled his eyes playfully, "I could have thought of that." he "whined", as he walked down the small set of stairs leading into the oddly sealed away basement. Snow had been to this mansion before but he's never been down in this secret basement. He could feel something was odd about it but he never would have guessed that this was all down here. They walked down the stairs into a dark hallway with the only light being crystal pods that glowed with an eerie white. Snow shivered at the sight of this...manly because he had awoken in one of these to this day and age. His friends...his family, locked him away in one of these things, but he's come to try and accept that they did it out of love...or something...the pain was still there. Snow remembered the feelings of sadness he had and the emptiness that was there for only a second, when in reality it was 300 hundred years. "Might as well have been an eternity..." Snow mumbled to himself as he looked to the ground in disappointment. He looked up at the crystal like machine and held his hand out to touch it, but his hands stopped, as if the very memories themselves hissed at him, warning him not to get too close. He closed his eyes as his open hand turned into a fist. After second he calmed down, hoping Lightning was too spaced out to notice. He turned away from the crystal like machine and started to walk towards a computer that was down the hall...and was still operational?
