The Hunted [Open to Heroes]

There was a lot of blood now, wasn't there? Pouring, flooding, pooling, bubbling, splashing... there were so many modifiers for the blood. The Heartless had caught him in a nasty place, but from his vantage point in the engineer's room Nathan could hold his own until his body gave up on him. But never his heart. A shadow flitted across the doorway, which he quickly put down with a vicious thrust. If one of the others didn't find him soon, he would be very, very dead. Or worse.

Blade? Check. Armor? Check. Spells... er, Spell? Check. Everything was set up, all his gear was polished, he was well fed, and the sun was shining on this glorious day. He was told, and by a reliable source, that Dedrun was last seen here. The damned Shaman was the very cause for his world's ending and Nathan would be damned if he didn't see the bony bastard hang for what he did. Reclining against the crumbling mortar of one of Twilight town's many buildings, Nathan checked the sun. By his estimation, it was a quarter of noon... maybe twenty minutes. He had told the others to meet him here, if they were interested in taking out a key member of the opposition. Either they came, or he went in alone.
